I go to the shops, get a haircut, see a film, hiding from the shadows, not listening to their whispers, looking at the angels on every rooftop, too fearful i cannot look up, i cannot see them, i see them.
I ignore the shadows. I go home, make tea, wash up, some shadows sneak in, offering help, their trapping words, echoing illusions.
They still hunt me. The angels stand sentry over my door.
They will always hunt me. I will never give in.

MonsterStirring, something deep in the dark of the lake. Something stirring, something massive and monstrous to the handful of observers. It rose slowly, dredging itself, water pouring back into the lake as it climbed the steep sides. It loomed; one watcher broke rank and fled as it stood mere feet away. It stepped forward, once, breathing deeply.Monster
It roared.
People ran. It cared not. It stalked past into the trees.
They found it the next morning.
Today it lies there, in the woods. If you want you can see it.
